On December 4th, the American Chamber of Commerce (AmChamSpain) celebrated its traditional Christmas cocktail at The Westin Palace. During his welcoming speech, the Chairman of AmChamSpain, Jaime Malet, expressed his gratitude to the members of the Chamber and highlighted the work carried out in strengthening the competitiveness and productivity of the Spanish economy throughout the year.
He also mentioned AmChamSpain’s main priority for the next three years, which is to work on adapting the productive sector to technological disruptions across different sectors of the Spanish economy.
Out of respect for the death of President George H.W. Bush, the members of the US Embassy excused their assistance. However, the Executive Director of the Chamber, Aida Casamitjana, read a message from the Ambassador of the United States to Spain, the Hon. Richard Duke Buchan III, in which he expressed his desire to continue reinforcing the “close collaboration with AmChamSpain” throughout the following year.
The cocktail, which was attended by over 250 people, concluded with a musical performance by The Broken Peach. Finally, we convey our sincere gratitude to the sponsors of the event, without which it would not have been possible.
