Alfredo Yepez is Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Hewlett Packard Enterprise Latin America and Southern Europe (LASER), a recently created region that generates annual revenues of over 1B$ and has more than 8000 employees. He is also President for Hewlett Packard Enterprise Spain.
Alfredo is currently responsible for driving HPE's strategy and vision of becoming the edge to cloud as a service company. He leads the go-to-market transformation across all countries in the LASER region, oversees the company's culture, and manages all the necessary sales processes to ensure that HPE becomes the top technology partner for its customers. Previously, he served as President of HPE Latin America.
He joined the company in March 1990 and has held various positions in both HP and HPE. Alfredo started his career as a Unix Services Engineer at HP Venezuela, later assuming the role of Director of Marketing for Venezuela and Colombia, and subsequently for the multi-country MCA region. He was then appointed as Director of Marketing for the Business Critical Systems division, which resulted in his relocation to HP's office in Miami, where he served as Director of Sales for key accounts before taking on the leadership of the Latin America region.
His professional trajectory has been marked by his unwavering commitment to developing substantial business growth and fostering exceptional teamwork, which is essential for expansive geographic regions such as the newly established one.
Other achievements throughout his career at HPE include being recognized at the HPE Winners Summit on more than fourteen occasions, and being a member of the HPE President's Club, awarded to only 5% of the Sales organization. Yepez has been a consecutive winner of HITEC 50 from 2015 to 2020, granted to the top executives in the technology industry in Latin America and Spain. Additionally, under his leadership, he has been awarded as the Country of the Year three times within the corporation and received the President's Quality Award in 2015.
Alfredo has been an advisory board member for Sales Community Council since 2019. In 2020, he wrote an article titled Selling in the Latin America Market on the Your go-to Sales advisor book by Randy Seidl and Tony Jeary. He is currently part of the HPE Ethical and Compliance Committee.
Alfredo has a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica Luis Caballero Mejías in Caracas, and has post-graduate studies in Marketing Management from IESA in Venezuela and Florida International University.
