On May 8th, we held a dialogue with the minister of Economy, Commerce, and Business, Carlos Cuerpo, who met with over a hundred senior executives from our partner companies in Madrid.
During the event, the Minister highlighted the current state of the Spanish economy according to the GDP growth data for the first quarter, the moderation of inflation, and employment at historic highs. He also expressed the government's willingness to welcome foreign investment.
Jaime Malet, President of AmChamSpain, conveyed to the Minister the opportunities for Spain in this historic moment due to changes in globalization that direct investments towards friendly countries, the capacity to generate renewable energy and green hydrogen to attract industrial investment, and the application of artificial intelligence in the productive sector.
